- Self-advocacy is a protective factor so that you can reach out to others and resources for support in your wellness and recovery. Use your communication skills to verbalize your preferences and how you may want your resources.
- Support. This is important to utilize to increase your wellness by looking into support groups and people critical in your recovery and maintaining wellness.
- Education. Learning about mental health diagnosis and joining support groups, such as AA, NA, Al-Anon, NAMI, and SAMHSA, by exploring these groups and how you may utilize them to maintain your sobriety and wellness.
- Strengths. Using your skills, education, and experience is all part of your toolbox to maintain a healthier lifestyle, continue sobriety and have meaningful relationships.
